I woke to a bit of snow on the ground this morning. Not too much, but an icy start to the day none the less. Until now, the chickens hadn’t seen snow. They weren’t too happy about it but they dealt with it. Had to add some hot water to their bucket to keep it from freezing over. Will need to find a better way to keep their water from turning to ice. Must be a way. In the meantime…
Original:
This original shot taken with the DJI Phantom 4 Pro. First snow of 2021 – well, first for Oregon City. This was taken from around 200 feet or so, looking to the north / northwest. Willamette Falls is flowing, the Museum of the Oregon Territory can also be seen, and icy roads all around. The Arch Bridge is in there, in the fog….somewhere.
Snow Day with edits:
This time, I added a bit of “weather” to this edit with On1 Photo Raw 2021 before finally converting it to black and white with one of their many available filters. This shot was almost black and white/monochrome from the get go, so didn’t have too many adjustments there. I think the weather added a nice touch, you?
Oregon City
Snow was a nice change, I don’t usually see it much in Oregon City. I guess it will be around for a couple of days. Will try to get out and see what all there is waiting to be photographed. I think the city tends to look a bit different in a blanket of fresh fallen snow.
